This February at The Write Place is Stockton, CA, we will use Elizabeth Lesser’s groundbreaking book, Cassandra Speaks, as our anchor book. We’ll dive into questions like   

WHAT STORY WOULD EVE HAVE TOLD ABOUT PICKING THE       APPLE?

Nearly all of our culturally defining classics have been written by men with their experiences and values at the center of every story.

WHAT WOULD HISTORY LOOK LIKE IF WOMEN WROTE THE STORIES THAT DEFINED WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HUMAN?

During each 90 minute session, we’ll take on questions like

WHY WAS THE FATE OF CASSANDRA NOT TO BE BELIEVED?

as we delve into these stories and more. We’ll peel off the patriarchal layers to reveal Woman’s true tales. This will help our own psyches to heal and help us learn to overcome imposter’s syndrome.
